In the latest prerelease, the date controls on the Trade Activity Log now have a drop-down list listing recent dates and also the dates surrounding the entered date.

The day of week and days difference to the current date is also displayed.

The reason the date control was also changed to our own rather than the Microsoft one is because the time control is a free-form edit control which uses Sierra Chart's own time parsing. It also supports, cutting and pasting, and parsing of various formats. We wanted the same capability for the date control for consistency. And consistency is very important.

We also want to minimize the reliance on the Microsoft controls because of this past incident. They can no longer be trusted.

We understand though the limitation of not having the calendar.

We think this new drop-down list added will solve that and actually offers a additional capabilities which you did not have previously. Mainly showing the time days difference and day of week clearly.
