Trader1, I have run into the same situation, and this is my solution. I use "SAVE AS" rather than "SAVE" and just make a different version of the workbook after moving the windows around. For example, open Workbook called "My ES Charts", move the windows around and then SAVE AS "My ES Charts - v2". Then you can easily have access to both the new and old format. Hope this helps.
