We need to update the documentation to explain what the purpose of this feature is. It is really meant as an interface for an external program to modify study Inputs. Tell us what exactly you need to do and we will see how to help with it. You can always create various Study Collection configurations containing the studies configured as you require and then assign Control Bar buttons to those and switch among those configurations very easily.
