You can use any kind of an authenticator app that generate one-time passwords. Even one on a mobile phone. There are many of them available.

Ok, so how would it work? Let's say the user download/use Microsoft's (your favorite supplier) authenticator on their phone, they would need to scan a QR or insert a code manually that would setup the authenticator to generate the TOTP. SC will provide that QR/code to the authenticator or will the user need ANOTHER 3rd party software for that? |

The Sierra Chart website generates the QR code that you scan using your chosen authenticator.

Just wanted to thank you once again, I've checked this out in the latest prerelease, it works perfectly with authenticator apps on both the web and desktop logins.

I activated 2FA E-mail. Does it only work for logging into web, and not the desktop software? Thanks |

The 2FA is present for both the website and the software. On the software login there is a box for "Optional 2FA Code". So if you have the 2FA setup for your account, then you must enter the code to login to your Sierra Chart software.
