I’ve stopped all updates as well with parallels. So afraid the custom studies won’t work as well.
You didn't say if you tried to change the Compatibility Settings for the ARM.exe: I found the new features can be disabled. Right-click on the SierraChart_ARM64.exe file Properties>>Compatibility>>Change Emulation Settings and then check the box for Hide Newer Emulated CPU Features (x64 apps only)

Run the ARM version of Sierra Chart. This is located in the Sierra Chart installation folder. The file name is: SierraChart_ARM64.exe Let us know if there are any issues with that. The arm 64 version would always RUN. however the dll files (so custom studies) don't show. they all give an error. that is why I started all this last year. I can confirmed that nothing has changed when i start the 64 version of sierra (still no dll files). Windows, rolled back, non-64 version does work correctly. as before. |

If you tell us what custom studies you are using we will help you with that. We just need the names of those custom studies.

Great. is there a way to see what studies i am using across all of SC or do I have to go chart by chart and figure it out? |

We also realize you are using more DLLs than just User Contributed Studies. We are working on making all of the user contributed studies usable on the ARM 64 builds. These other studies, you need to contact the developer about them. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. okay, two things: 1. just to make sure i did not have version problems, I tried to update the SC software. I got some errors. I sent the log to you all. Im not sure if that was what I was supposed to do. 2. What do I tell the developer of those studies that he needs to fix? Thanks |

1. The installation log you sent us states that the files were in use. So you had Sierra Chart running when you tried to perform the update. It is best to do the update by selecting "Help >> Download Current Version", as this will prompt you to save and exit from Sierra Chart. 2. You need to tell the developer that you need an ARM version of their software. 1) it still has errors in the error window when I did it this way. 2) I don't know if the developer knows how to do that. do you have a help file on that anywhere. I'm bascially asking for a favor from them so I'd like to make it as easy as possible. thanks |

For #2 they literally click Remote Build - ARM64 instead of Remote Build - Standard, or if they build locally build for ARM64 instead of x64 (and minding the naming convention between the two).

As to the Install, there is some program using the files. The program that should be using them is Sierra Chart. Make sure you do not have any sub-instances running either. You should just have the one main instance running and then start the installation. If you have another problem with the update, then please send us the log. Also, you can try to do the update using the Zip Installer if you continue to have issues. Refer to the following: Software Download: Sierra Chart Zip Installer For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
