I have the above study applied within my chart and I use the study within a Spreadsheet for calculating target and stop loss values. I then use "Trade Management by Study" (four of them...one for long target...one for long stop...one for short target...on for short stop). The Trade Management by Study utilizes the target and stop values within my spreadsheet (which utilizes the the position average price). I do very quick 3 to 5 second bars and am only in a trade for about 10 to 20 seconds. I have been practicing in Simulation mode with live data feed (I have Denali data feed and Teton order routing). The issue I have is that the Position Average Price does not ALWAYS show up within the spreadsheet (which affects my target and stop levels). Sometimes the position average price shows up correctly....sometimes it does not. If, while in a position and the average fill price does not show up within my spreadsheet, I can open up the "Chart Studies" and "apply" the studies, then the average position price shows up correctly in the spreadsheet (but too late to be any functional use for my scalping trade). Also...when performing the trading in the Chart Replay mode, everything works perfectly. Only with live data feed and simulated trading do I have an intermittent problem. I have looked at the below information...but, after reading all the information, I am not sure how to solve my problem. Trading Information Windows: Trade Data Studies Trade Activity Log: Solving Inaccurate Trade Statistics for Charts Field Values I am using First In First Out Fill Matching and the Order Fills Start Time and Date are blank (in the Chart Settings/Trade menu) Any ideas on how I can solve this issue? I can not go with live trading unless I can figure out how to always get an accurate Position Average Price in the Spreadsheet. |

It could be that the chart order fills are not loaded in a chart for this reason: Trade Activity Log: Trade Activity Not Displaying or Clearing (Improving Trade Activity Query Performance) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I cleared all the Trade Activity as suggested. Traded in sim mode this morning...about 40 scalp trades...seemed to solve the problem since all the trades went smoothly. Thanks...
