FYI to everyone using Apex with Rithmic feed: Tuesday ES volume spike about 13:47 EST, long from 81.25 target was 84.25, filled 3 handle profit. Due to vacuum the best bid/ask at exact time of fill was 90.25, therefore although profit credited, also GIFTED WITH 6 HANDLE DRAW. Meaning Rithmic calculated my RT Draw as if I held the position to 90.25 even though filled at 84.25 on the way up to 90.25. The 6 handle draw never happened in reality, but based on their framework, Apex says the drawdown was calculated correctly and refuses to adjust. based on this explanation this BS calculation of Rt draw can occur for stop out or targets, so in this volatile environment with liquidity vacuums everywhere, expect extreme frustration. This isn't slippage in a typical sense, I wasn't filled at 90.25, perhaps in live market that's where I would have been, especially if I took opposite side and was short from 81.25. Anyway, very tired of Apex doing everything possible to increase their edge....over us.
