My TPO time period length and unit is set to 30 minutes, however the TPO chart is blasting through the letters super fast, like in seconds. And after it completes the "m" period, it just stops printing letters, however price continues to move up and down on the chart. I can't seem to find what else I need to change to make the A period be 30 minutes, B period be 30 minutes, etc...?

Sorry I should also clarify that the profile period is set to 1 day, letters/blocks to 30 minutes.

Ensure that the following Inputs are set as defined here: - TPO Letter/Block Time Period Length: 30 - TPO Letter/Block Time Period Length Unit: Minutes If it is set as per the above, then please get us a chart that shows the issue you are having by following these instructions: Support Board Posting Information: Providing Chartbook with Only a Single Chart For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

I believe I have those units set appropriately. Please see attached chart book as you instructed. Thank you!

We are not seeing anything odd with regards to your TPO charts. Everything is building up properly. And you have the Inputs we mentioned set appropriately. Can you please take an image of what you are seeing about 10 or minute minutes after the open tomorrow. We want to see what exactly you are seeing at that moment. Follow these instructions to get us an image: Support Board Posting Information: Attaching or Posting a Screenshot/Image (Optional) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Sorry don't mean to spam you, but when I opened my chart at 0815 CDT this morning, it was already on the H period. Then at 0840 just as I was getting ready to upload the chart image, it switched to the I period. I looked at the chart settings and session times and I think those are ok, but I'm just not sure what I'm missing here. I super appreciate your help.

Your image shows your TPO starting time as 09:30 for the chart. If the Time Zone of your chart is the same as your actual time, then this would mean that at 08:15 you would be looking at the end of session that started the previous day. What time (in your actual local time) was the image taken that you gave us in post #6? What is "Global Settings >> Time Zone Settings >> Time Zone" set to? https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1745939275868.png I took the screenshot in #6 at 0840 CDT. This new screenshot I am adding I just barely took with the overlay of the settings. The TPO study in that chartbook in question now disappeared. The chartbook itself exists, but when I went to open it, it was blank. So I've duplicated it again, now "chartbook2", and added a screenshot that should contain the information you asked for. I have messed with the time zones, but nothing but nothing has helped. And my computer is on the correct date/time zone. Not to muddy the waters, but there are other charts within the same chartbook that are doing something weird whenever I open Sierra Chart. I may try to create a new chartbook from scratch and see if that helps, but I'm not sure which settings to change at this point. |

I think I fixed the time zone issue, whenever I would change it to "Chicago" (CST/CDT), enter the start and end times, and hit apply, it would also change the time I had entered to something completely off. So I had to change the time zone to Chicago, change the time manually, and hit "OK" rather than "apply". Because again, if I hit "apply", it changed the time to something different than what I had manually entered if that makes any sense. But my letter blocks seem to be on the right time now, but just 10 minutes delayed and I think that makes sense with my service package. Thanks again for taking the time to look into this, I probably should have tried just a touch harder to figure it out before sending it up. |

We figured it had something to do with the Time Zone as the times in the chart did not make sense relative to your local time. It is normal that if you change the Time Zone, the Session Times will adjust to reflect that new Time Zone. Therefore, you may have to then adjust the actual Session Times for the selected Time Zone. Unless you have some reason for using multiple time zones, we recommend setting your "Global Time Zone" (Global Settings >> Time Zone) to the time zone you want for all charts. Then make sure all the charts have their Time Zone set to "Use Global Time Zone".
