Take the AMZN chart as an example. How does an 8pm GMT spike (3pm EST) not get accounted for in the historical charts? I see this accross the board with this data?

We can't answer this. The data in both cases comes from the exchange and we are showing what they give us. We can not explain how/why the spikes are present, only that they are part of the data they send to us.

Historical Daily charts, in the case of NASDAQ TotalView symbols are based upon the consolidated tape data feed.

Ok, so consolidated tape is different to intraday. Confirmed. And this is definitely not the case with your FX pairs, hence the questions..
