Hello, if i put a stop order in one trade window and set another one in another window (different contract) sometimes the stop will not work. Is this a known issue? |

No there is definitively no issue at all like this. In this case, these stop orders are independent from each other. Look at the Trade Activity Log to understand what the issue with the Stop order is: Trade Activity Log: Viewing Historical Trade Activity Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. We do not understand what you are trying to show with that image. Are the Stop orders you are placing for the same symbol or for different symbols? If they are for the same symbol, then you will have an issue, as you can not have multiple strategies running for the same symbol with a single trading account. they are not for the same symbol (of course). I set stop orders for different symbols und sometimes they do not work properly - they do not trigger... enclosed you find another example.. itseems that there is an issue, when placing more that one SL in different symbols https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=173143208149.png |

Again, that image does not make any sense to us. We have no idea what you are trying to show from that image. All we see is an order fill for -1 at 2.969. We no nothing about the symbols, we no nothing about how the stop was setup. Whether this is an entry or an exit, etc. You are jumping to a conclusion. It is not possible that Stops that are setup for different charts for different symbols will affect each other. If you are having a problem with a Stop order, then you need to look at what is occurring with that particular Stop order. Specifically, you need to look at your Trade Activity Log and see what is happening with that Stop order. You need to analyze what is occurring from the information in the log for that specific order and if it goes away, then why it went away. All the information is in the log. I had the same isue recently... i recognized that i placed the SL order and my computer retired. When i switched on again the SL order didn't work. But it worked well afterwards when i have sierra chart open as usual. Is it possible that the chart window has to be open or visible in order the SLorders works correct? I always switch my symbols on the quote board to see how the charts goes... that means i have not opened the charts in parallel on different screens. Maybe this is the reason. The picture i have attached was bad of course - i will check it the next time before i will upload. ---------- ---------- Here is another example und my PC did not retire inthe meantime and sierra chart has been open all thetime please see pictures attached and the activity log. The SL doesn't work (#1 picture), but it worked a view hours later (#2 picture) Thank you in advance |

It really is impossible for us to analyze a problem like this from the screenshots and a Trade Activity Log. Is it possible that the chart window has to be open or visible in order the SLorders works correct? Yes.For complete information on this subject, refer to: Trade Simulation: Why Fill and Order Prices Can Be Wrong or Unexpected / Orders Do Not Fill When Expected Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I have another example just a few minutes ago (please see screen attched). Chart window was open all the time and stop order did not fill. This is a seriousissue for me. What can we do to investigate it deeper? Maybe it is possible to raise debug level for the logfiles or something |

Regarding post #9, go through all of the information here about this: Trade Simulation: Why Fill and Order Prices Can Be Wrong or Unexpected / Orders Do Not Fill When Expected No it is not a display issue. It is not filling for some reason. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Try to keep your questions brief and to the point.
