so I'm trying to input a simple formula =(C3+D3/2)-(C4+D4/2) and when I press enter it calculates correctly. The issue I'm having is when I go to the chart and I select in the study, it automatically deletes. what can be the issue?

We are not understanding the situation you are trying to describe. What do you mean by "when I go to the chart and I select in the study, it automatically deletes."?
