Hey guys, new to sierra chart so apologies if these are dumb questions. i just purchased the denali feed CME top of book data, and since im just using sierra charts to chart, not execute trades i have a few questions. My first question is, how do i know if my interactive brokers account has been connected to sierra charts? Is there some sort of confirmation? My second question is, How much do i need in my interactive brokers account to qualify as a "funded futures account"? Third question is, how do i know if im getting the Non-professional denali feed price? I understand the first month is free, but after that how do i check? Thanks |

My first question is, how do i know if my interactive brokers account has been connected to sierra charts? Is there some sort of confirmation?
The opposite is true. If you did not connect it properly, then you would be informed. If you went through the instructions and are connected to your Interactive Broker software/account, and you are not getting any errors, then you did it right and it is working. Refer to the instructions here: Interactive Brokers Trading Service: Setup Instructions My second question is, How much do i need in my interactive brokers account to qualify as a "funded futures account"?
We can not answer that question - you would have to ask Interactive Brokers. They determine at what level your account is still valid or not. Third question is, how do i know if im getting the Non-professional denali feed price? I understand the first month is free, but after that how do i check?
To begin with, make sure you have only activated a Non-Professional exchange. Second, to make sure that you have met the CME Group's requirement of having a live, funded, futures trading account to get the non-professional rate, you can check your "Verified Until" date at the following link: https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=DenaliDataFeed#Exchanges As long as the "Verified Until" date is in the future, you will get the real-time data. If it is "expired" (date is in the past), then you will not be able to get the real-time data and depending on how you are setup with your trading service, you may not get any data. Note that by not meeting the requirement, you are not setup for the "Professional" exchanges and charged for them. You just do not get the data. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

@Noahfish I used to have an account with IBKR, a bit off topic, if you are trading futures, IBKR's margin requirement is way higher than other futures brokers, it is beyond my comprehension, IBKR's connection to Sierra is not always reliable either. I switched to other brokers a year ago. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-08-04 13:57:38
