hello,

on the volume at price threshold alert v2 indicator, is Trigger 0 (sg1) always the latest imbalance in a bar? if not, is there a way to reference only the latest imbalance in a formula?

best regards,

By chance, the code for the Volume at Price Threshold Alert Indicator V2, works from the bottom of the bar upward. So when Trigger 0 is non-zero, it is giving the price of the lowest value in a bar at which an alert is true. Then comes Trigger 1, Trigger 2, etc.

hello,

thank you for your reply john. one quick add-on question -- if the percentage threshold is set to a negative value, does the code flip and look for the highest value in the bar at which the alert is true? thanks again for clearing this up.

kindest regards,

Setting a negative threshold does not make any difference on how the code goes through the data. It is always starting at the bottom of the bar and moving up one price at a time and setting the "trigger" when the condition is true at that price. Again, always starting with Trigger 0 and then going up in consecutive order.

We do want to point out that although we do not expect this to change, and we do not see any reason for a major update to that study, there is always a possibility that the functionality could change and it is not something we would announce, as this is really an internal mechanism.

I will admit that you got a little lucky in that I have done some work in that part of the code, so I am aware of how it works.
