Hi all, I've briefed through the SC documentation's 'Working with Spreadsheets' section, but don't see anything addressing this, and surely it's just a simple menu option to toggle - if I add formulas, text etc. to several cells:
- changing the field names for custom formula columns ('O', P', etc to 'Buy1', 'Buy2', and so on)
- adding formulas to cells in these same columns

...and then I go to Study Settings and edit something in the 'Spreadsheet System for Trading' study, then OK/Apply button, all the stuff I added gets deleted.

I've tried saving the spreadsheet first, makes no difference. Even if I add stuff to just 2 cells (change title in cell O2 to 'Buy1_signal', and a dummy formula like '=IF(C3<10000,1,0)' to cell O3), 'Save' or 'Save All', close the Chartbook, reopen...I can see the formula I added in cell O3 if I click it, but if I key/click away from it, then key or click back to it, then the formula is gone!

This has been an issue for me, for quite a while.

The Sheet# you are editing must match the Formula Source Sheet Number setting.

Thanks Tom! I had changed 'Chart Data Output Spec Type' to 'By Name' instead of By-Number, but overlooked the 'Formula Source Sheet' fields & didn't change them too. All's good now.
