In the last 2 weeks I have lost pretty much all functionality with sierra charts. I am running on a mac thru crossover and it worked fin for about 3 years now it keeps freezing, buttons and drop downs don't work and I can't adjust scales on charts. I was disconnecting and reconnecting and that worked for awhile, now it is having no effect. I have reinstalled mac os, I have reinstalled both sierra and crossover with no improvement. I would really prefer to stay with sierra but unless I can regain functionality I won't be able to. Thanks |

The issues you are having are going to be related to running on a MAC, as we are not having these troubles with users on Windows. As you are aware, Sierra Chart is only built for Windows. We have set this as a "User Discussion" as we can not help, but there are other users using a MAC that might be able to help. Have you first tried to just start with one simple chart and see if you have any issues with that?

Is your Mac Intel or M1/M2? Crossover is not stable/reliable on both chips.

it's a silicon chip, I erased the hard drive and reinstalled everything. It starts out okay but I gradually lose functionality. Data streams but order buttons don't work, I can't access settings menus. I used to be able to disconnect and reconnect and regain functionality but now that doesn't work. If I close sierra and then log in again it usually works. I never had this problem before about 2 months ago, I really like sierra and I don't want to have to switch. Thanks |

Unfortunately there's no ideal solution for silicons, Crossover has a hard time to run natively, you could try Oracle's Virtual Box, (which is free) or Parallels, they both run natively. I don't want to have to switch.
Sierra has a lot of things that other platforms don't, unless you could live without them, I would get a 2nd computer just for Sierra, doesn't have to be fancy, Sierra is very efficient, uses little resources Good luck. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-03-24 16:03:10

Recommend getting Intel or AMD based computer that can run Windows 7 and just use Windows 7 to run Sierra Chart.
