By the web information the ATR study should give me the average daily range for my ES futures chart. The resulting data is in fractions, as 0.34, in the Region Data Line. The Moving Average Length I set as 8 for 8 days. But since the result is small I try as big as 9030 for the number of minutes in 8 24 hour days. The result is no different. I expect a daily range result of 5 to 12 or so now. Why do I not get this result?

You need to apply this study to a Historical Daily chart. You can open one through File >> Find Symbol for the symbol. If you want to overlay it on an Intraday chart, refer to: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails28.html Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Please make the ATR study work for Intraday charts. It sure would be more useful!

It does work on Intraday charts but it will be based upon the data within that chart and its Length setting.
