Why does the Moving Average-Simple study load as a Chikou Span in Studies? It is my understanding that these are not the same, that a Chikou Span is not an average. Thx |

This is definitely not the case. Maybe you are referring to a Study Collection from the Analysis menu. Add Moving Average-Simple through Analysis >> Studies directly. This must be a name that you configured. At the lower right of the Study Settings window press the Reset Defaults button. And then remove and re-add the study.

No, never configured it that way. I didnt even know what a Chikou Span was until I looked it up yesterday. Also, when I hit "Reset Defaults" (see attached pic), it appeared to be the same, nothing different. So I erased the "Short Name" and now it says Moving Average Simple. So am I to assume it is and was always configured to Moving average-Simple? Since I didnt ever label it that, the only thing I can think of is it is/was associated with that Chartbook I downloaded and had the SC meltdown. What else could it be? Regardless, I want to make sure that it is in fact a Moving Average-Simple. (since Im not exactly sure what a Chikou Span is or does). Thx |
