Hello there, I just want to make sure that I can hold a position overnight. I am currently short the Micro e-mini Nasdaq and have placed my stops in so that I will be in the green no matter what. I cannot lose money on this trade. However, last night I was taken out of my trade even though I had my stops in to protect myself. How can I be assured that my stops will remain in affect and I will be able to hold my position overnight? If someone could get back to me as soon as possible, I would appreciate it very much. Thank you!

From the Sierra Chart side, the one thing you want to ensure is that you have the Time in Force set properly for your orders. Refer to the following: Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Main >> TimeInForce (Time in Force): Otherwise, you need to check with your broker to ensure you can keep positions overnight. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
