Hello,

i use 1 Trade management study for my target and another one for my stop. Order type is OCO target limit and stop
When I open a position the target is immediately adjusted but not the stop price.

Why is the target price adjusted first and immediatly but not the stop price. It takes more than 10-15 seconds before being adjusted, what could be done to have the stop value immediately adjusted ?

The frequency adjustemnet for both TMS target and stop = 0 second

Could you help me out with this?

Thank you,

We just did a test to see if we could reproduce this, but we can not. Both the Target and Stop were moved at the same time.

The first thing to check is that the settings for both Trade Management by Study studies are the same and that you do not have a trailing amount set that may make the Stop move to a different position than what you were expecting.

If you can not see any difference then attach a chartbook that has the particular chart in it with the necessary studies on it. Refer to the following instructions:

Hello John SC,

Thank you for your response.

As everything is exactly the same except for stop/target, I discovered somethething related to IB oco/bracket order server side... (Interactive Brokers Trading Service , in "what is included" ) and...

I just changed from Yes to No "use server side bracket orders" in "General Trade Settings" menu and it seems to be working as I image it to be.

Could this be a stable way of fixing this issue?

Thanks

Yes and this is just yet another very good example, of why we have created a standard Sierra Chart solution for routing orders, at least for the CME Group and EUREX futures markets.

If you are trading the futures markets, then use the Teton order routing service:

You can then take advantage of server-side OCO and bracket orders with this service .

Thank you,

I intend to use SC Teton in the near future but for the time being I must stick with what I already have installed for many reasons...

Thank you again,

Paul
