Somehow that file has had the permissions changed to not allow writing to the file. Check the properties for the file and be sure it is allowed write access from the user account you are logged into your computer with.

Hi, I am getting following error when trying to open /create custom study: 2025-07-05 00:59:48.186 | Unset | Error creating process Z:\Users\owner\Documents\mac_win_shared_files\SierraChart\NPP\. Windows error code 5: Access denied. * 2025-07-05 00:59:48.186 | Unset | Error creating the Advanced Custom Studies editor process. * In Global settings >> path i have: Text editor path and filename: Z:\Users\owner\Documents\mac_win_shared_files\SierraChart\NPP\notepad++.exe Advanced Custom study Editor Path: Z:\Users\owner\Documents\mac_win_shared_files\SierraChart\NPP notepad++.exe is present in above directory when i look it in finder window on my mac. HOw to fix it? Thanks! |
