Hey Guys, i set up my quote board with different charts. I want for example CL 8 Range Chart and NQ 20 Range Chart. So here is the problem if i set it up like this CL 8 Range and than change the symbol in the quote board to Nq or another symbol it will be always 8 Range Chart from Cl. The same with other settings: Volume at Price Threshold: Volume Treshold Cl 300 it will show in all other charts/symbols. Than i always have to adjust this setting every time for each symbol. Tried to solve this problem with Chart Linking and set it to None. But this does not work either. For example Cl set up to 8 Range Chart and Chart Linking None. Than i change the symbol in the quote board for example to NQ. So than i get all my Charts in NQ but the one with None Linking from the Cl 8 Range Chart does show up in in the Nq Chart. |

We are not understanding what you are seeing or what exactly the issue is. The Quote Board is not associated with a chart, apart from the possibility of having it linked in order to change the chart to the selected symbol within the Quote Board.

Ok, i try to explain it again. i have a quote board with 5 instruments. CL, NQ and so on. Each market has the same chart setup. So when i change from cl to nq i have the same chart setups on my monitors. So far everyting like it is supposed to be. But i can not set up individual chart settings. For example i want for cl an 8 Range chart but for the NQ i want an 20 Range Chart. So i'm using cl with 8 Range Chart Settings and than i change to Nq through the quote board, Nq will also have the 8 Range Chart set up. |

Why not just have a chart book with a separate chart for each symbol?

Ah ok, so i need to set up a chart book for every symbol. Switching between markets is very fast and convenient with the quote board.

You can not do what you are asking. It is not the way the Quote Board works. The quote board just changes the symbol for a chart that is set to the same link number. It does not (nor can not) change any of the parameters associated with that chart. As noted above, the main solution would be to have different charts setup with the different parameters. If you really wanted to do what you are asking, you would have to program it so that the chart parameters were changed based on the symbol of the chart. You can or you can have all the charts for all 5 symbols with different chart settings in one chart book. |
