Hello. Was researching this issue as I added my text to speech WAV files to the SC alert folder and can choose them from the general settings but they will not play. I read through some of the posts and I have also the windows error code 122 issue but: I can play them with windows media player. I have them in 3 formats but they still dont play: 11 Khz 16 bit mono 16 Khz 8 bit mono 16 Khz 16 bit stereo Example name scalp-shot.wav, scalpshort.wav, scalp.wav No matter what, after selecting the wav file from the SC Alert folder (I placed them there), applying them to any of the Alert# and clicking the test sound button , all I get is some default window sound. I tried clicking ok after applying and reopen the general settings/alert and see the right file name assigned to the right alert# but still when testing it will not play. Is it even possible to use user created alerts or only those created through your text to wav service ?? Please advise |

I have them in 3 formats but they still dont play:
11 Khz 16 bit mono 16 Khz 8 bit mono 16 Khz 16 bit stereo See if you can convert these to 22050 Hz 32-bit float. Mono or Stereo. That format works. |

I use the standard W10 text to speech app and save as Wav file. The files play as Sierra Alerts. |

I would look into Audacity. Not sure if it will do exactly what you want, but it is free and worth a try. BradH |

I thought the app came with windows 10 but apparently I am using the yunus app. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/convert-text-to-speech/9wzdncrddlsc?activetab=pivot:overviewtab |
