For the last 2-years I have accessed Sierra Charts through the broker software of TransActMA (Infinity). Yesterday (30th) I started a direct subscription with Sierra Charts (no longer through TransActMA). Having successfully logged into the Sierra platform, I now want to access some of the (many!) Chartbooks that I created in the past. However, when I follow the standard Open Chartbook process: File / Open Chartbook, and select a Chart and click 'Open', I get a message (in the Message Log) telling me that 'The Chartbook file is not a valid Chartbook File: C\SierraChart\SierraChartTransActMA\Data\Chartbook MAR07 SF How do I resolve this? We tested one of your Chartbooks and it opens just fine: Chartbook MAR22 - SF on 8MA, ignore ADX.Cht - Try opening it again through File >> Open Chartbook. You should not have any problems. Nope, that did not work. Unfortunately, I get exactly the same message - 'The Chartbook file is not a valid Chartbook file'. I am no techie, but I don't think the problem lies with the file itself. I think the problem is the folder (in the C:Drive) in which it sits. Namely C\SierraChart\SierraChartTransActAM\Data\Chartbook MAR 25 - SF on 8AM, ignore ADX.Cht' I suspect the \SierraChartTransActAM\ element of the file name is the issue. Could this be the reason? If so, how could I resolve this? |

Go to File >> Open Chartbook. Do you see that Chartbook file listed there? No this is not a problem: I suspect the \SierraChartTransActAM\ element of the file name is the issue. Could this be the reason? If so, how could I resolve this?

I am afraid it was a problem, but it is a problem now resolved with the help of my broker's (TransAct / Infinity) support team. Anyway, thanks for taking a look at this. For clarity, this issue is now resolved. |

That does not make sense to us. What the actual problem was is not clear to us but if it is resolved that is good.
