Yes, it is difficult because Interactive Brokers makes it difficult. It is not difficult because of Sierra Chart. We can see that no other Interactive Brokers user responded with suggestion. We apologize for that. What we know is that the problem with this symbol has to do with NYSE MSFT-STK-SMART/NYSE Therefore, enter MSFT into the quote board in Trader Workstation and then open up the contract description for it and see what are the available primary exchanges and then just try one of those when specifying the symbol.
