Deleting Sound File Names

I have an instance of SC that I imported a number of study collections from someone else. That person had alert sound files that I don't have on my hard drive, but are the available choices when I try set an alert for a study. I can find no way to delete these referenced file names and add my own sound files. Any help is appreciated.
