Zigzag indicator help

Is there a way to have the zigzag indicator start accumulating the volume as soon as price starts going the opposite direction instead of waiting for a bar to close? Otherwise the volume for a swing is not accurate because it is accumulating the volume of the opposite direction as well. Please see the attached image. Thanks!

Use Last-Last rather than H-L. Won't solve all instances. Invokes some compromise.
