Hi SC,
I encountered a strange occurrence with the numbers bars study while working with continuous charts. I have attached the pic with the request.
1.The problem is that the numbers bars study is displayed beyond the range of the candlesticks in several instances for the product CL (WTI crude oil). This occurs only with CL as I havent seen this with other products continuous charts with the numbers bars study. Just wanted to confirm if it is normal or is there any problem with that.

2. I also wanted to ask you if the data shown by the numbers bars for historical price action, is accurate? If I am loading the past year's worth of charts, would there be any discrepancy in the numbers bars calculated values of BidVolume/AskVolume ?

The image of the chart. As you can see there is an excess number of price levels showing numbers bars outside of the range bar, on multiple bars.
These actually occur a few times in a variety of products: ES, GC, CL, and not necessarily on continuous charts.

Make sure this Chart Setting is set to None:
Chart Settings: Intraday Chart Bar Period >> Gap Fill (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Bar Period >> Intraday Chart Bar Period Settings menu)

And re-download the data in the chart:

Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart.

And finally if the problem continues, open a new chart for that symbol so the chart has default settings and then add the Numbers Bars a study and see if you still notice this.

Thank you, SC. Opening a fresh chart and re-downloading the data, seems to solve the issue, although I have to re-download a couple times to make sure there are no instances of the numbers bars study going outside the range of the bar.

I noticed another occurrence(image attached with the post), and since the numbers bars values are accurate i think it might be because of low-liquidity market states. I wanted to confirm once, if the bid-ask volumes at those price levels, without any value shown in the numbers bars, will be both zero? What would you recommend to check for to detect occurrence of such bars.

This makes absolutely no sense and there cannot possibly be a problem like this. No one has ever reported a problem like this. There is some other unknown issue in your particular case.

In regards to the chart image you provided, we see nothing like this at all:

I am seeing these missing price levels, on real time connections on liquid products like even NQ, GC, CL and it sometimes affects my custom studies referencing that price level data. This also occurs on different installations of Sierra that i have running on the same system.
How can i fix this, if the error is on my side?
