Is there a way to save multiple Draw Volume Profile configs, like it is possible for other Tools ? If I open a "Tool Configs" window I am able to save TC1, TC2 etc and they show up as possible configs when I right click on a Volume Profile but those TC1/2/3 etc dont load up when I select them. Is this happening because Volume Profiles are loaded as a study and not really a "Drawing Tool", per se ? Also, has there been any development work to highlight POC/ValArea on not just based on the Total Volume of the profile but separately on BidVol or AskVol ? Thanks much ! |

Refer to the following for how to create/save Draw Volume Profile configurations: Volume By Price Study: Step by Step Instructions to Configure the Draw Volume Profile Tool However, for this functionality you must be running a recent version of Sierra Chart. We see you are running some older versions. There has not been any work on having the highlights based on items other than the Total Volume. It is something we have on our list to do, but we cannot give any idea of when we may get to this work. I have a question regarding the Config [saved settings] for the Volume Profile. I have saved two configurations and when I select them using the right-click and dropdown menu. I select either of them but there is no change. Is this configuration that is saved for the 'Chart Drawing Properties' or the 'Volume Property Settings'? Ultimately I wanted to save multiple configurations of the 'Volume Property Settings' so that I can easily load a Profile Configuration without having to alter the settings one by one. |

Selecting a different configuration for an existing profile does not change the profile. This is different from other drawing tools. This is because the Drawn Volume Profile is not actually a drawing. It is a simplified method to get the Volume Profile to display over a drawn time period. But, in the end, it is creating a Volume by Price study instance for each drawing. Therefore, you have to modify the settings for that study.
