I spent a lot of time on Volume on Price (Volume Tool) setting up my custom settings. After using it with the Volume Tool, I loaded it as Volume by Price and there were fix dates that I could not remove. I'm really upset because I had to reset it to get rid of the date 11/11/16 (where ever that came from)?

Is there a way that I can restore a backup and get all my settings back? Also, then remove the dates that I could not remove?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Why did you need to do this? If you are referring to the Start Date and End Date inputs with the Volume by Price study, you can just simply select those Inputs and press the Delete key to delete them or type 0.

We do not know what settings you are referring to.

We do not know what Dates you are referring to.

If you want to have a custom configuration of the Volume by Price study for the Draw Volume Profile tool, then refer to:

I choose the start date and end date, and pressed delete, and they would not delete.

Are you referring to the Volume by Price study Inputs?

You can certainly edit those Date inputs including deleting them on a current instance of the Volume by Price study.

Like all study Inputs, you actually edit an Input value in the edit box below the list of Inputs.

Here is an image showing what we mean:

There should be no trouble at all with changing study Inputs.

There were dates in the Start Date, and End Date that I deleted. They would not delete.

I'm asking, is there a way to restore a backup to bring back all the customizing I did on the Volume by Price?

If you have reset the Volume by Price study Input settings back to default, there is no way to restore them to the previous ones.

Ok, just know that there's a bug in the Volume by Price study. There is no way to delete dates.

OK we see what you are saying now. We did not catch on to this at first.

This is an unintended consequence of validating that a correct date is entered. We will solve this.

However, whether you can delete a date or not, does not matter because if there is a reliance on the Start/End Date Inputs, then they need to be valid. If there is not a reliance on them based upon the Volume Graph Period Type input, then it does not matter whether there is a date present there or not.

I don't have a clue what you just said, and I'm a bit confused what I initially said in my first post wasn't understood.

I was using the Volume Graph Period Type: "Multiple Profiles Based on Fixed Time", and I highlighted the Start and End Date, and hit delete, and it wouldn't allow me to delete the dates.

Yes we understand now. This will be fixed in the next release.
