Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Server (same PC) has SIM disabled and allows trading. Sub-instance has SIM disabled but when I enter an order it switches by itself to SIM.

I opened it via File-new instance, so it's naturally set to DTC-Sub Instance. Interestingly, the trade window does NOT have any other option than Sim1. |

And is the main instance of Sierra Chart connected to a trading account? It will need to have an active connection for the sub instance to get the trade accounts. Still not sure why though it is switching to Trade Simulation Mode. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. We have not changed anything with this between 1400 and 1406. So we still are not sure what the problem was. If you have it again let us know. We will think about how to analyze this. What can cause this problem is having Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> SC Server Settings >> DTC Protocol Server >> Allow Trading unchecked in the main instance.
