Dear Sierra Chart Team, I have created a Chartbook A with its own Spreadsheet Study /Alerts, Buy & Sell Signals. This chartbook is based on 30min data. I have also created another Chartbook B with another Spreadsheet Study but based on 240min data or 4 hourly. Chartbook B has been created because I need to create a study / indicator based on 4 hourly data. I need now to overlay the study or my own built indicator from Chartbook B / (4hourly based) to Chartbook A. Is this possible? How do I do this? I followed the steps in the documentation but failed. Pay attention, I have 2 separate chartbooks with their own separate spreadsheet studies. Thank you! |

You need to use the Study/Price Overlay study but it is not possible for it to access a study in a different Chartbook. Hi. I have read these documents before, but I still do not understand what to do. How would you do what I need then? Assume it is the same Chartbook. I can have two tabs under that Chartbook, one as a 30min data chart and another as a 240 min data chart. Can I attach TWO separate spreadsheet studies to each of them? As I mentioned above I need to create a study / indicator based on 4 hourly data, it is CUSTOM DEVELOPED BY MYSELF. In other words I need to calculate the values based on 240min data feeds. I need then to overlay the study or my own built indicator (4hourly based) to 30 min Chart with its own attached Spreadsheet Study/Alerts. How? |

The charts that contain studies that you want to overlay from one chart to another must be in the same Chartbook. So that is the very first step. Each chart can have multiple Spreadsheet studies on them. This is no problem. They can use different Spreadsheets or they can use the very same Spreadsheet as long as you change the Chart Data Output Sheet Number for each instance of the Spreadsheet study: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_SpreadsheetStudyInputs.html#OutputSheetNumber You can then overlay a Spreadsheet study from one chart to another by using the Study/Price Overlay study.
