Hi good day I found that the data in numbers bars and numbers bars calculated values are different from TDametrade and Interactive. I tried to compare between my Sierra chart and my friend Sierra chart. We use same data provider TDametrade same time frame, but the data are different especially in numbers bars (bid volume *ask volume) and total volume. |

When it comes to Interactive Brokers data you are going to have complete and total inaccuracy with Numbers Bars. Do not even waste any time with that data feed. For consistent and accurate data for Numbers Bars you must use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed Also make sure you have a tick by tick data configuration: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_TickbyTickDataConfiguration.php Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. We do not know what to say about TD Ameritrade. It should be OK but we do not know. We do not think it would be really wrong like Interactive Brokers. Although our recommendation is do not rely on it if you are noticing inconsistencies and we will not provide any support when using Numbers Bars with TD Ameritrade. Differences have to do with differences between the data feeds. Refer to: Http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails43.html When using advanced feature like Numbers Bars and accuracy and consistency are important, you must pay for a stable and quality data feed. There is no other choice. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Try to keep your questions brief and to the point. We want to clarify what we said in the prior message. If you are noticing inconsistencies with Numbers Bars data between different connections with TD Ameritrade, then that would be evidence you should not be relying on it. Otherwise, we would think it should be fine. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. We remembered why it is that we are concerned about using Numbers Bars with TD Ameritrade data and it is because the most recent 10 minutes of Intraday data will be downloaded from the 1 Minute data from TD Ameritrade and that does not contain any Bid Volume or Ask Volume data.

Is it enough to add only Real-Time Data Connections plus TDameritrade data? Or I have to add Exchanges? |
