Is it possible to implement a chart trading feature such as trading from the price axis? Some other platforms such as MotiveWave have a feature that allows you to hover over the price axis and if you click, it will enter you into a trade. For example: If you hover over the price axis at $100.00, it will show the price that you are hovering at and also show what kind of order type will be entered if you click (i.e. stop order). If you hold Shift while hovering, a different order type (i.e. limit order) will be entered if you click. If you hold Ctrl while hovering, a different order type (i.e. market order) will be entered if you click. etc. These are customizable. Does Sierra Chart have a similar feature? This is a much faster and much more efficient way to trade especially if you are actively scalping. Right clicking on the chart and then clicking on what type of order you want is time consuming and can lead to a lot of mistakes. |

Use the Chart DOM. Go to Chart >> Trading Chart DOM On Then go to Global Settings >> Chart DOM Settings and set the options to match the attached pic. This will ensure the correct order type for above/below the current price. |
