forex tick size settings questions

In global symbol settings we have the symbol settings. These questions are specifically related to Forex symbols and to Tick Size and Currency Value Per Tick 1. Just to confirm, the values I see in the symbol settings are always specific to a specific service, yes? 2. The values I see are *always* retrieved directly from the Service I have selected? 3. For the default values, I sometimes see 0.000050 and sometimes 0.000010 - why the difference? |

1. Yes. Although for Forex most services will use similar settings. 2. No. We set the settings ourselves based upon what is required for the Service being used. 3. 3. for example, eurcad has a ticksize of 0.00001 and eurusd has a ticksize of 0.00005 4. for currency pairs, the currency value per tick is in the quote currency or the base currency? |
