A problem with my tool functionality within Sierra.

I have been using sierra now for nearly 3 years & something strange has started to happen when I'm using the drawing tools in Sierra. What is happening is when i go to draw an arrow, or line or whatever my crosshairs come on also. It doesn't affect the arrow or the line but the crosshairs shouldn't be coming on at the same time as its a distraction. I have downloaded the recent version V 1316 & I know someone else who has done the same thing but doesn't have this issue which makes me think its a problem at my end & not Sierra?. Do you have any suggestions how I can resolve this issue as I desperate to stop this as its a big distraction & this shouldn't be happening. I would be most grateful for your help with this matter. |

Many thanks for your prompt reply which has duly resolved the issue. Not sure how it got to be reset as I'm sure I didn't change it, could it possibly have defaulted during a version update?.The main thing is its now resolved, many thanks.

When this functionality was being updated, mistakenly that option was set to true/enabled by default when it should not have been.
