placing trades with IB issue

I am using edemo with IB. I can connect just fine. I have chart open with EURUSD and I chart being updated real time. I then place a market order from the chart. I get a message that symbol is not found. The order appears on the chart and remains in the "Sent" state. In the message log, I have: Symbol Error - EURUSD is unknown, unavailable, or improperly formatted. No security definition has been found for the request | 2015-10-29 08:14:29 Any ideas? |

EURUSD is not a valid IB Symbol for Trading, you will need to use EUR.USD-CASH-IDEALPRO Refer to the IB Symbols page here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/IBSymbols.html#CurrencyPair When you are using Symbols like EURUSD, you are actually getting data from the Sierra Chart Real Time and Historical Forex and CFD Data Service and not from IB: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SCRealTimeFOREX.php Sierra Chart Support Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-10-29 16:49:36
