Can you please consider adding the "Fixed By Bar Count" to the Volume Value Area Lines indicator? This is present in the Volume By Price indicator.

In the absence of volume cluster analysis, this is a workable proxy.

This will allow you to plot the VPOC and Value Area on a per bar basis so that it can be used with non-time based charts (range, reversal, renko, tick, etc). Being able to specify a percentage for the value area would allow you to control the cluster size being represented.

It will also allow you to neatly plot this area as a rectangle which eliminates having to use the entire jagged volume profile in the Volume By Price study.

This is what it might look like:

This would be VERY useful for day traders, please consider it.

Volume Value Area Lines development has ceased.

The Volume by Price study has been enhanced to function like Volume Value Area Lines.

Thanks.

Just a quick note on a display issue with draw types when using this:

When you use "Fill Rect. Top/Bottom", the VPOC disappears. Is there a way for this to be tweaked so that the VPOC stays on top?

The only way around this is to add 2 copies of the indicator with one underneath.

Not without causing back compatibility issues.

Or you can use one of the transparent Draw Style pairs.
