On the Interactivebrokers (live funded account) I have subscribed to the Eurex exchange and on the SC charts I can see the intraday history and realtime data for the Eurex instruments without any problems. But I have NOT subscribed to the CME/Globex and when I try to open an intraday chart in SC it loads the intraday history OK but the realtime data does not update. The contract month is active and symbol OK. I have understood that I do not have to subscribe anything in IB (so no duplicate payments) to use your direct data connection for the CME market data. I am using a trial version. What could be the problem ? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-01-05 18:47:44

Real-time data is provided by IB so you need the necessary authorizations on the IB side to receive data for a particular symbol. If not, you will not receive the real-time data.

Is this a limitation of the trial version ? And when the trial is done and I will start to use normal version then the realtime will come from your servers ? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-01-05 19:16:44

The reason why I am evaluating your package is the option to receive in realtime the every tick produced by the exchange by using your direct market data connection to exchange. I would like to get rid of IB's "realtime" data and use yours. The way as you advertise in your wep page Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed So if I now understand this situation right I have to pay about $77/mo (your data connection) + $90/mo (IB Globex connection) and still I am not receiving every realtime tick. Is this really the case? What I am missing? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-01-05 23:59:46

I think now I got it. I cannot use IB data connection. I have to switch to SC data connection in SierraChart and enter the trades normally by the TWS where I can enter tickets without realtime connection. But if I need DOM I have to pay IB's full $90 subscription additionally to yours $77 (77=total payments for you including SC application). Correct? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-01-06 00:39:29

The cost of CME and EUREX data from the Sierra Chart data feed is 35 USD/month + 3.25 USD/month + 15.75 USD/month. This will give you complete historical and real-time data assuming you are a nonprofessional. We see no reason why you cannot cancel the Interactive Brokers market data feed and save the 90 USD or whatever. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. According to this page the Sierra Chart Exchange Data feed is deactivated for your account: https://www.sierrachart.com/usercp.php?page=MarketDataFeedFeatures I have to switch to SC data connection in SierraChart and enter the trades normally by the TWS where I can enter tickets without realtime connection. But if I need DOM I have to pay IB's full $90 subscription additionally to yours $77. No, this is not the case. You will still be able to trade from Sierra Chart using your IB account and Sierra Chart data. But if you do enter orders from TWS, there would be no quotes in there. The Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed has no trial. It is a paid data feed only. Your Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed settings are correct now. Although you saw notice about a pending payment, it does go through immediately. Restart Sierra Chart and make sure you have the Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds option enabled. You should be good to go now. Yes, it is not easy and the primary reason is the compliance with exchange rules. The last couple of days we have been asking ourselves, whether all of this is even worth it. We get so many questions about problems with users not getting real-time data, in most cases not with our data feed but with the broker provided feeds, because of restrictions on the data access which are imposed by the CME. So the greed and the power of the exchanges, burdens all of us. It is not right. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Thx for the reply. But I have to say that you have a great piece of software here! After getting the data flow the application itself is awesome. So much features. I am an experienced programmer (over 30 years experience specially proprietary trading apps) and was prepared to start to program different kind of things but everything needed was included. Also a lot of tuning possibilities allmost in everything what I like a lot. I can clearly see that this is not a beta version and every options has it's meaning. One thing what I would like to see is to get a little a bit more zoom out ability in pure 1 tick charts. But I can go over this by using 2 different charts so not a big problem until I trade 10 markets at the same time. So I think you got a new customer here ;) Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-01-06 02:50:22
