Screen going black

I have a very bizarre issue with my second monitor going black and power cycling when one specific chart, within a specific chartbook, is maximized or resized manually. I've done my best explain with relevant context below.

For context, I have 2 monitors. One is connected via display port, and the other one via HDMI- my same setup for years now. The monitor in question is a samsung TV connected via HDMI. I have had no issues ever.

The issue occurs with a chart inside my ES chartbook. The specific chart causing the issue is a chart I duplicated and then changed the symbol. The original chart is a market stats NISS-NYSE chart. I added additional symbol studies to include additional market stats in subgraph regions along with the Advance Decline study. I then duplicated this chart and changed the symbol to NISS-SP (along with changing the equivalent subgraphs to SP stats) to see SP500 and compare to the original NISS-NYSE chart. But when I maximize or manually resize the new NISS-SP chart, my entire TV second monitor displaying my sierra install will melt to black followed by it shutting off/ rebooting back up- and will continue this cycle unless I change chartbooks (hot key). I have tried to replicate the behavior on my other monitor by dragging the installation window over to my other monitor- but I cannot get the same behavior to replicate- it works fine and the NISS-SP chart can be manipulated successfully. It is only when the NISS-SP chart is maximized or manually resized on the samsung hdmi monitor. It is a very bizarre thing to witness- the screen melts to black, like its being consumed (starting darker/black patches in some regions of the screen then growing black across the screen in a couple seconds) until the entire screen is black/off- then I will see the graphic for the TV pop up and sometimes hear the TV startup chime noise when it turns on or reboots. The chart/chartbook will be where I left it and look normal for 1 or 2 seconds before the "black mass" takes over and consumes the screen and the cycle begins again- this will continue indefinitely until the NISS-SP is minimized. The NISS-SP chart can only be displayed on the samsung without issues if the chart remains in its duplicated footprint not manipulated (maximized or reszied- the trigger for the black mass).

I assumed this was a hardware issue at first- but i've test all that and everything works fine- and narrowed it all down to this one specific chart and the conditions described above. It literally only happens with that specific chart on that specific monitor. The original NISS-NYSE chart has no problems and can be maximized and resized no problem on the monitor in question- along with all other chartbooks and charts- all working fine.

Not sure what else to say about this. Its truly bizarre to see. Let me know if you need additional information. Much appreciate all the help as always. Thank you

Included is a screenshot of the problem chart.

There is nothing we can do about this.

I have had the same problem with Samsung monitors (and tvs used as monitors). Where the screen will go black for no reason whatsoever. I have never been able to pin it down to anything in particular.

And, in doing a quick Internet search on "Samsung monitor goes black randomly" there are a LOT of hits, so this is a common issue with Samsung monitors.

We are not saying that the particular chart where you see the issue isn't causing this, there could be something about it. But it is something about the Samsung product that is not responding well to the chart and not the other way around.
