Dear Support I'm experiencing a small issue when setting up the Volume Profile and Volume Area Lines (referencing 1 period back). In this example I'm only trapping the Session Start and Session End, not the Evening. I've probably missed something simple in what is a pretty complex study as far as settings go. Can you provide assistance so I can solve the mismatch which in this example has the Value Area Lines Study (1 period back) with a VAL some 29 point adrift. Many thanks. |

We are not fully understanding the setup you are trying to show in the image. Is this setup so that you have a Volume by Price study for each day with the Evening Session Separate and showing the Volume Value Area, and then you have a "Volume Value Area Lines" study set to reference 1 period back. So you should be seeing the lines from the previous day's Volume by Price matching up with the lines showing on the current day's Volume Value Area Lines? If this is the case, then we do not have enough information about your "Volume by Price" profile setup to know where the issue is. A couple of items of note: - The "Ticks per Volume Bar" needs to be set the same in both studies. - You show a snippet of the settings for the VbP in which you have "Use Different Start Time" set, but the Start and End Times are matching to your Session Times. We are not sure what you are trying to accomplish with this. You probably do not need to use this. - Make sure your VbP has Use Separate Profile for Evening Session" set to "Yes". Otherwise, you will be including the Evening Session in the calculations, or make sure you are using a "Volume Graph Period Type" that would give you just the day session.
