Request: Add support for passkeys (FIDO2/WebAuthn) as a login option in two places:

1. The sierrachart.com website: the account area, billing, and the support board.
2. Sierra Chart itself: the login when the program starts.

Current state: Both logins use a username and password.

Why it matters:

- These accounts control real money. Someone who takes over a Sierra Chart account can change services and billing. Through the trading software, they could also reach a connected brokerage account.
- Passkeys stop phishing. A passkey only works on the real domain, so it can't be typed into a fake login page. A one-time code can be phished; a passkey can't.
- Nothing can leak from the server. Sierra would store only public keys, so there is no password database to steal or reuse elsewhere.
- Most users already have a passkey manager. Google Password Manager, Apple Passwords (iCloud Keychain), Bitwarden and 1Password all store passkeys and sync them across devices. A passkey made on one PC would work on a trader's laptop or VPS
without extra setup. Windows Hello and hardware keys like a YubiKey work too.

Implementation notes:

- Website: WebAuthn is supported in every current browser and is a well-documented standard. The password managers above work with it automatically.
- Sierra Chart: Windows provides a built-in WebAuthn API that desktop programs can call directly, so Sierra Chart could show the standard Windows Hello or passkey prompt at startup. Another option is to open the website login in the browser
and hand the session back to the program.
- Keep it optional: Passkeys should be an opt-in addition. Password login and a recovery path would stay for users who want them.

I'd use this right away, and I expect many traders who take account security seriously would too.

Thank you,
