v2947. It's been happening for a few versions, not sure exactly when it started.

5 chartbooks open, I use F7 / F8 regularly to move quickly between them.

Window focus is being lost when pressing F7 occasionally.

The only reason I noticed is the only other window open on the trading machine is a Chrome web browser, and F7 in Chrome grey's out the window, and creates a popup asking to turn on caret browsing.

I have tried hitting the F7 hotkey in Sierra repeatedly slowly, quickly, alternating with F8... I don't see a pattern exactly, but it happens regularly enough to interrupt trading workflow multiple times a day.

I'll help catch and replicate this any way you can suggest.

There is not anything we can do about this if this key is being intercepted by another program.

So this is definitely not something we can help with. It is a system specific issue.

Change between Chartbooks by using the Chartbook tabs:

Interesting this never happened for a couple of years of using the hotkey. This might of started in one of the recent MDI window updates.

It's possible as you say something else is taking over focus, so that's something I can look into. However, I've never noticed a focus takeover in any other scenario.

This is not something we can help. We will not spend any time looking into this and it is not even reproducible anyway.
