Simulated trades are not recorded in Trade Activity Log (QC:0)

I am using Sierra Chart Version 2761 (64-bit) connected to Interactive Brokers.

I am paper trading using Trade Simulation Mode = ON.

The following problem occurs consistently:

I enter a simulated trade from the Trading DOM.
The position appears normally.
I close the trade using either Flatten or the attached stop/target.
The position disappears from the DOM.

However:

The Trade Activity Log always shows QC:0.
The Fills tab is empty.
The Trades tab is empty.
The simulated Daily Profit/Loss does not change.

I have already verified or tested the following:

Trade Simulation Mode is ON.
Correct account and symbol are selected.
Sierra Chart was restarted.
Chart Trade Settings appear normal.
General Trade Settings appear normal.
The problem occurs every time.

Could you please advise what configuration or setting would cause simulated trades not to be recorded in the Trade Activity Log?

Thank you.

Is there a diagnostic log or setting that I should check to determine why simulated fills are not being recorded?

You must not have the "DisplaySettings" for the Trade Activity Log set properly to show Simulated trades, or perhaps some other setting related to the time or something else in the controls. Refer to the following, noting the "Trade Activity Type" in particular:

I followed your instructions and verified the Display Settings.

Trade Activity Type = Fills
Simulation State = Simulated
Symbol = MES-202609-CME
Trade Account = DUR170969
I widened the From Time to include the entire day.

The Trade Activity Log is still empty (Current Query Count = 0). No simulated fills are displayed even though the simulated trades were executed.

What would you like me to check next?

The "Trade Account" for simulated information is incorrect. This should be "Sim1" or another one of the "Sim#" accounts depending on what you used when you created your orders.

I am using Sierra Chart v2761 in Trade Simulation Mode with the Sim1 account.

Trade Simulation Mode is ON.
Trading Locked is OFF.
Chart Trade Mode is ON.
Auto Trading Enabled - Global is ON.
Auto Trading Enabled - Chart is ON.

When I click BUY MKT on the Trade DOM, Sierra Chart displays the Confirm Order dialog correctly.
After I click Yes, the dialog closes, but absolutely nothing happens.
No parent order is submitted, no position is opened, and the Trade Service Log shows no order submission or rejection messages.

What setting or condition could cause the order to be ignored after confirmation?

Most likely it is not ignored, but something about the particular order is not what you are expecting.

How is your "Trade Window" setup for the order? What is the Order Type and what Price(s) are set for that order?

Another possibility is that you have the "Time in Force" set to "Send Order at Time", therefore the order is not processing as the time has not occurred (although you would typically still see the order in the chart as "Pending").

I have done additional testing.

Trade Simulation Mode is ON.
Trading Locked is OFF.
Chart Trade Mode is ON.
Account is Sim1.
Order Type is Market.
Time in Force is Day.
Flatten works correctly and closes the position.
The position is now Flat.
When I click BUY MKT or SELL MKT, the confirmation dialog appears.
After I click Yes, nothing happens.
No new position is created.
The Trade Service Log shows no new order submission or rejection messages.

Is there another setting that would prevent new entry orders while still allowing Flatten to work?

Please get us an image of the "Confirmation" window when it comes up. That should give us the information we are looking for.

I apologize. The image I uploaded was the wrong one.

I used Edit >> Screen Images >> Upload Main Window Image, but it uploaded only the Sierra Chart main window and did not include the separate Confirm Order dialog that you requested.

Could you please advise the preferred method for uploading an image of the Confirm Order dialog?

I was able to capture the Confirm Order dialog using a Windows screenshot. Please let me know the preferred method for attaching or uploading the image to this support thread.

Thank you for your assistance and your patience.

At this point I have decided to stop pursuing this issue because it has become too time-consuming for my current needs.

Since I am only paper trading temporarily, I will keep a manual trading journal instead.

I appreciate the time you have devoted to helping me.

I have now tested both the Sim1 account and my IBKR cash account.

In both cases the DOM displays the parent order, target and stop, but the entry order is not transmitted.

Since the same behavior occurs in both accounts, do you recommend resetting the trading configuration, or do you recommend a clean Sierra Chart installation?

Neither.

Please get us an image of the Confirmation window when you try to place an order. Use the Windows Snipping tool to get the image and atach it to this thread by following these instructions:
