Why VbP Reset button is not clearing all of the selected VbP, and always leaves some of it

Why DOM study VbP Reset button is not clearing all of the VbP Total Volume, and always leaves some of the it uncleared for awhile? 1. DOM 2. Click on Chart menu/Study 3. Add VbP Total Volume 4. Add VbP Reset Button and set it up for the ID of the VbP Total Volume 5. Set a hotkey for it 6. Clicking on that hotkey => always leaves some of it uncleared for awhile => Why? Is there a time interval for VbP column? 7. Though, Total Volume added by "Trade menu=>Customize Chart/Trade DOM Columns=>Total Volume" always get totally cleared by using a different hotkey Thank you, BP Date Time Of Last Edit: 2026-07-22 16:09:57

You need to take into account that the Volume by Price study is calculated based on the bars in the chart. And a Trading DOM still has a concept of bars, even though they are not shown. So, for instance, if your bar period is 10 minutes, and the current time is 10:26, then if you reset the Volume by Price study, it will rebuild from the current time, which includes the bar that started at 10:20. In order to have more granularity, you would need to change your Bar Period to something smaller, such as 1 minute. In this case, you would be resetting to the nearest minute. The data in the DOM Columns is completely separate from how a Volume by Price is calculated. Those values are just an accumulation since they last time the column was reset.
