Lost All Settings - How To Restore?

Unfortunately, my drive failed and I had to reformat and install a fresh copy. I of course had all my chartbooks backed up, but there is a lot of "customization" in the interface that is gone. I do have a copy of Sierra on another machine I can probably rescue stuff from, if I know what to rescue. What files do I need to restore to get things like my targets (attached orders), all my context menu additions (I added a bunch of tools to my context menus), tool configuration (colors, etc), study collections and all that kind of stuff? I guess this stuff isn't stored in the chartbook files since they were restored just fine. Thanks for any help you can provide. Once I find out what files I need, I will make sure to include them in future backups (I have a systemd job that backs my Sierra charts up every hour). Running on Linux under Wine. P.S. Sure hope we see a native Linux release sometime :-) |

I found the .StdyCollct and .twconfig files. How about the tool and context menu configuration?

The file that contains the settings is the "sierra4.config". It is located in the main installation folder for your Sierra Chart. You will want to copy this over. It appears in my /SierraChartInstance_2 and /SierraChartInstance_3 as well. Is this correct? I copied all three over, shut down Sierra and restarted everything.Chart Shortcut Menu is unchanged. Tool Configs are still unchanged. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks |
