Volume profile vpoc issues. in:32 the issue

Ive read the description of in 32. I am puzzled as to why changing this setting from a 2 to a 1 nets a completely different session profile vpoc result? Please help me understand. I uploaded 2 images to show what I am talking about. This is for the evening session 17:00-8:29:59 session time.

First, keep in mind what each of these items is about. The Point of Control is the price level at which the highest volume has traded (i.e. the longest bar in the profile). The "Ticks per Volume Bar" determines how many price levels are aggregated together to form a single bar. Therefore, when the "Ticks per Volume Bar" is set to "1" and you have a POC at one level and then when the "Ticks per Volume Bar" is set to "2" and the POC changes, this is because the accumulation of the data at the two price levels creates a longer bar at the new location than what it was previously. Okay John Thank you. I was using 2 because I have a 60 day chart with profiles for each day and my pc was struggling to move the chart around without lagging and I noticed increasing Ticks per volume bar made it less laggy. So having that set to 1 should be the most accurate for showing previous days VPOC? Also is there a way to just show the POCs of the profiles and not the profile itself and the poc still be accurate? I was thinking of just going to subgraph and hiding the profile drawings and keeping poc but not sure if that affects poc being calculated. I really only do it so I can see naked pocs from past anyways. Thanks!

If I set to just draw the labels and not the profile I get this weird version. Its not extending pocs and is acting like a continuous poc. See below. I also tried volume value area lines study which does what I need but does not extend pocs.

When you are having the "weird" situation, it is because you have set the Draw Style for the POC to be a "Line". So it is just connecting the points from one bar to the next. Set the "Draw Style" to "Dash" to see the actual level across each bar. You can use the "Volume Value Area Lines" in combination with the "Color Bar Based on Alert Condition" to get extension lines.
