I placed a buy order on the morning of 7/3 forgetting that it was a holiday and my broker automatically closed my position for me before market close.
I came back to the charts after market close and saw I still had a position open on SC. I tried to flatten (which was rejected) then tried to cancel.
When the market reopened earlier this evening on 7/5 the flatten order went through and I saw on my broker that I had an open sell position while SC showed I was flat. I submitted a buy order to flatten my position with my broker, but now I have an open buy position in SC that I need help getting rid of.

I've tried deleting from the activity log to try and flatten my quantity with no luck. How do I go about flatting my position in Sierra Chart without submitting a new order?

The first thing to do is to immediately contact the clearing firm, and find out what your actual position is, and take any trading action that you need to.

That is the very first action to take right now.

Who is the clearing firm?

I use Discount Trading so the clearing firm is IronBeam. Looking at my filled orders on their website I am very confident that I do not have any open positions.

It looks like at market close on 7/3 that the broker closed my position due to margin requirements but that wasn't picked up in Sierra Chart. So it thinks I still have a position of 1 long contract.

If that is what occurred, then Sierra Chart should pick up that Fill from your account when you next connected to that account.

If the order fill is still not there, then you can either manually add it, or try to get it automatically downloaded.

Refer to the following section for instructions for both options:

I waited a day with no trading and another order got placed and closed by my broker. It appears that everything is now in sync and I am flat with no positions in Sierra Chart. Thanks for the help.
