Hello Sierra Chart Support, I am trying to configure the built-in study "Volume At Price Threshold Alert V2" to display dot markers on the chart (similar to a template I received from another trader, where the study is shown as "Dot 50" and "Dot -50"). My current settings on a fresh instance (ID:19) are: - Comparison Method (In:1): Bid Volume - Volume Threshold (In:2): -50 - Volume Alert Number (In:3): Alert Disabled - Percentage Threshold (In:6): 150 - Additional Volume Threshold (In:7): 100 - Number of Days to Calculate (In:12): 30 However, no dots are appearing on the chart with these settings, while the reference template from another user (which I cannot edit, as its inputs appear locked/grayed out) does display dots correctly with what looks like similar configuration (named "Dot -50" and "Dot 50"). Could you please help with the following: 1. What is the correct relationship between Comparison Method, Volume Threshold, and the other inputs (Percentage Threshold, Additional Volume Threshold, Minimum Volume Value for Ratio Comparisons) for the dots to actually render? Specifically, should Volume Threshold be a positive value when Comparison Method is set to Bid Volume or Ask Volume? 2. In the reference template, the input fields for this study appear locked/disabled when I open Settings. Is this a study-level lock (e.g., "Protect with Password"), or is it simply because the study was added via a Study Collection / template file? How can I unlock or duplicate it so I can freely adjust the threshold values myself? 3. Could you clarify what "Additional Volume Threshold" (In:7) and "Percentage Threshold" (In:6) do in relation to the primary Volume Threshold (In:2)? The descriptions in the Settings dialog are not entirely clear to me. 4. Is there a recommended configuration to set up two separate instances of this study — one tracking Ask Volume threshold and one tracking Bid Volume threshold — so each can independently display its own dot marker when volume at a price level crosses 50 contracts? I've attached screenshots of my current input configuration and the chart showing no dots rendered. Any guidance on the correct setup would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support. Most of the questions you are asking can be answered by reviewing the documentation for the study: Volume at Price Threshold Alert V2 The one thing we can tell you is that when you have the "Comparison Method" set to "Bid Volume", you do not enter the "Volume Threshold" as a negative number. To see Bid Volumes that are greater than 50, you would need to enter a positive value (i.e. 50). As to the study you received from someone else, they would have that study password protected, which is why you can not change anything in it. You would need to ask the person you received it from for the password in order for you to unlock it.
