Hello, I have a question regarding the Volume by Price study. In the VBP Chart Values window there is a value called "Imbalance %". I have searched the documentation and the Support Board but could not find an explanation of what this value actually represents. Could you please clarify: What exactly does the "Imbalance %" value measure? What is its intended interpretation? For example, does a positive value indicate a bullish profile and a negative value a bearish profile, or does it represent something different? What does the magnitude of the value indicate? For example, how should values such as +20%, +80%, or -60% be interpreted? Is this value based on: Bid vs. Ask volume, the distribution of volume above and below the Point of Control (POC), or another internal calculation? I am not asking for the mathematical formula or implementation details. I would simply like to understand the meaning and interpretation of the "Imbalance %" value so that I can use it correctly in my analysis. Thank you very much for your help. |
