SC2922 Common Chart Settings: Days To Load = 2 Intraday Session Time: 08:30:00 - 15:59:59 Evening Session Time: 17:00:00 - 08:29:59 VbP study with Number Of Periods Back To Reference = 1 Volume Graph Period Type = Multiple Profiles Based on Fixed Time Time Period Type for 'Fixed Time' = Days Time Period Length for 'Fixed Time' = 1 Number of Days To Calculate Volume Profiles = 1 Use Different Start Time = Yes Use Separate Profile for Evening Session = No Use Case 1: VbP Start Time = 17:00:00 Chart Settings: Use Evening Session = Yes Use Case 2: VbP Start Time = 08:30:00 Chart Settings: Use Evening Session = No Result: In Use Case 1 only one Volume Profile is drawn (from yesterday), as intended. In Use Case 2 two Volume Profiles are drawn (yesterday and the day before), but only yesterday's profile is wanted. It is not clear to me why two profiles are drawn in case 2.

Found the solution: In case 2 "Use Different Start Time = No" has to be used.

Sorry, need to reopen this. The previous post, that "Use Different Start Time = No" would solve it, was wrong. That was an artifact, because the session had ended. So, for case 2, regardless of the setting of "Use Different Start Time", it will draw the current day's profile, while in case 1 it doesn't. It is unclear why this occur.

Charts are attached. Global Time Zone is UTC. Operating System time zone is also UTC.

You were correct the first time. The issue in the chart where you are getting the two profiles is the Input for "Use Different Start Time". When this is set to "Yes", then the profiles are going to use the entered Start Time (08:30 in this case) for the start of the profiles rather than the Session Start Time (17:00 in this case). Since there is data in the current day (per the session times) that applies to a different profile, you are getting two profiles. Note that you do have "Use Different Start Time" set to "Yes" in the chart that is working correctly, but you then have that "Start Time" set to "17:00", which is the same as the Session Start Time, so there is no difference in this case with that setup. If you do want the chart setup the way you have with, with a Session Start of 17:00 and then a Start Time for the Volume by Price to be at 08:30, then you will get the two profiles. There is no way around this for that specific setup. But, if you are trying to eliminate the overnight session, then you should set your "Session Times" to have a separate Evening Session, and then not enable that evening session. And then set "Use Different Start Time" to "No". If you want to have the full 24 hours showing in the chart, but not have the Evening Session applied to the Volume by Price, then set the Session Times to have a separate Evening Session and have it enabled, then set the Input for "Use Separate Profile for Evening Session" to "Yes" and set "Use Different Start Time" to "No". You will still get a second profile showing, but it will only be for the overnight session.
